Sony added a new member to its Xperia family in India by launching Sony Xperia M2 Dual at Rs 21,990. The smartphone will be available starting Friday. The device is a dual-SIM variant of the Xperia M2 announced at World Mobile Congress this year.
The Xperia M2 boasts of a 4.8-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor (MSM8226) coupled with an Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The phone runs Google Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean).
The device has a 8GB internal storage with a microSD card slot that can accommodate up to 32GB of expandable memory. On the camera front, the device has a 8-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera. The camera software features include ‘auto scene’ recognition, Timeshift burst, picture effect, Social live and HDR mode.
The phone weighs 148g and measures 139.6 x 71.1 x 8.6 mm. It includes a 2300mAh battery that the company claims to deliver up to 14 hours of talk time and 693 hours of standby time. Xperia M2 Dual is available in three color options – Blaack, White and Purple. Connectivity options include 3G (HSPA+), GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, Wi-Fi, DLNA, and Micro-USB.
