Amkette is not new to media streaming device, they launched the EvoTv back in 2012 and it turned the ordinary idiot box, smarter. Down the line there are many players in the market including Google’s Chromecast , Amkette EvoTV 2 is the second generation device to stay relevant in the streaming business and is priced at Rs 6,999. For a month, it will stay a Snapdeal exclusive at a discounted price of Rs 6,499.

With the EvoTV2 a user can access more than 200 apps and access movies, songs and games on the big screen, the interface include a EVOTV app store with curated contents.  The device offers global and local shows bypassing geo-restrictions and yes, if you  are a Games of Thrones fans, you can watch the uncensored US version. Other popular series like The Walking Dead, House of Cards can also be watched. The curated contents spans various genres like News, Sports Matches, Movies, On demand TV shows, and even Games which are updated frequently.

EvoTV2 is compatible with Android, iOS devices and desktop and you can cast the contents including photos, videos and music from these devices using the cast button. So, your favourite Youtube content can be watched on your TV.  If you have your favourite movies stored on your external hard disks, you can plug and play them directly and it supports wide range of media formats. It also supports AirPlay for iPhones and Macs.

On the specs side, the Amkette EvoTV2 is powered by Arm Cortex Quad core CPU processor and a dedicated Arm Mali 450 graphic processor with 8GB of internal storage. Connectivity options include 4 USB ports which can be used to plug up to 2TB external hard drive or flash drive.
