The box contents include:
- The V5s Smartphone
- Soft back cover
- Pin to eject SIM tray
- some manuals
- Power adapter
- microUSB cable
- white earphones.
Now let’s focus on the V5s Smartphone.
Like most of the Vivo devices, the V5s also features a similar design language barring few minute aesthetic changes . As stated earlier, the antenna lines of the V5s at the rear borrows the similar design from the V5 Plus. And it makes it more visually appealing compared to the V5.
On the right side, there is the power button and volume rocker.
The left side has the SIM tray that can be ejected with the pin and it reveals the hybrid Dual SIM. You can have two SIMS working or one sim and another microSD card running. Not all three together.
The bottom is crowded with speaker grille, microUSB port, audio jack and a microphone. The sides has a shiny chrome strip where the display and the edges meet.
Let’s boot the phone. You are treated to the familiar Vivo UI that is constant in all their devices. The UI is inspire by iPhone including the icon packs. Notable is how you access the quick access settings which is very unlike the familiar Android. You swipe up from bottom to access the quick access shortcuts and settings. While the phone runs on Android Marshmallow, the UI is heavily skimmed and Vivo calls it FunTouch OS.
The 5.5” display retains the same 720p HD resolution like in V5 and have a 2.5D glass on top. The display has a degree of vibrancy and should be likened by most folks.
Other spec list is in tune with the V5. It runs on MediaTek chipset MT6750 with Mali T860 GPU, 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. In fact, V5s is nothing but V5 with boosted internal storage boasting of a 64GB.
The V5s also carries the similar 20-megapixel moonlight front camera. A LED light gives a soft glow to the face. The rear camera has a 13MP camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus and LED flash.
The battery is little curious and am uncertain. At this time of video I am told by the official channels that it has a 3000mAh battery similar to the V5 but surprisingly our tests shows a 3900mAh battery.
Vivo V5s is priced at Rs 18,890. There are only two things that differentiates the Vivo V5s and V5. The new V5s has doubled its internal storage to 64GB compared to the 32GB in the V5 and also flaunts the antenna line similar to the V5 Plus. Rest remains the same though.]]>
