Sony has launched in India, its next generation wearable device, SmartWatch 3 which was first revealed in September at IFA. The Sony SmartWatch 3 (SWR50) has been officially listed at Rs. 19,990 and will be available in Black. though there is no word on its availability. The upgraded SmartWatch 3 us based on Google’s Android Wear platform, a marked turn from their earlier watches and thus fully soaked in Android ecosystem. The SmartWatch 3 has a 1.6-inch 320×320 pixel LCD display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 512MB RAM. Also featured are 4GB of internal storage, 420mAh battery and connectivity options like NFC and Bluetooth 4.0. The wearable device also has a built-in microphone, accelerometer, compass, Gyro and GPS sensor. Like their flagship Smartphone devices, the smartwatch too is IP68 certified making it resistant to water and dust.
