Close on the heels of Celkon Win 400, the company’s first WP Smartphone, Lava announced its own first Smartphone, the Iris Win1 priced at Rs 4,999 pitting it directly against the Win 400. Lava Iris Win1 running on Windows Phone 8.1 OS will be available on December 2 and will be exclusively available on e-commerce portal, Flipkart. The Iris Win1 features a 4-inch with 800×480 pixel resolution and runs on the Snapdragon 200 chip with a quad-core 1.2GHz processor and 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. The battery is of a 1,950mAh kind and the Windows phone gets a 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera. It’s a dual-SIM phone and gets the usual array of connectivity options like WiFi, Bluetooth etc. With Microsoft making WP free licence software for devices with less than 8-inch display, we can see more action in Windows phone segment. ]]>
