Samsung India cuts down its Android Galaxy Tab 2 Prices

Samsung India has dropped the price of its Galaxy Tab 2 tablets. The Galaxy Tab 2 310 with calling facility launched in May last year is now available for Rs. Rs. 16,250. The recently launched Galaxy Tab 2 311 that shares the same specs with 310 but comes only WiFi sees a new dropped price of Rs. 12,750 from its launch price of Rs. 13,900


It’s the new official listed price but you could find some retailers selling at still discounted price, so if you are planning to own a Samsung tab, this might be the right time to check out.

Both the Tab 2 tablets features a 7-inch (1024×600) PLS TFT LCD display, a 1GHz dual-core processor with 1GB RAM, 3-megapixel fixed focus rear camera, a VGA front-facing camera, 4,000mAh battery. They also come with Readers Hub, Game Hub, and My Movies services.

Key differences between Tab 2 310 and Tab 2 311

  •  The Tab 2 311 is a Wi-Fi only variant with other connectivity options like Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0 and GPRS where as Tab 2 310 has a mini-SIM option and also with SIM calling feature
  • Tab 2 311 comes with Jelly Bean OS out of box where as Tab 2 310 comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich pre-installed though it is upgradable to Jelly Bean.
  • Tab 2 311 comes with a 16 GB internal storage which can be expanded upto 32 GB via micro SD card. On other hand Tab 2 310 comes with a choice of 8 /16 /32 GB in addition to expandable memory card slot.

At WMC, Samsung unveiled its new 8-inch Galaxy Note 8 tablet. It is also expected to announce its Galaxy Tab 2 series soon and also the second generation of Galaxy Note 10.1
