Samsung has added a new device to its tablet portfolio, a Wi-Fi only version Galaxy Tab 2 311, priced at Rs. 13,900 and sharing the same tech specifications as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P3100

Planning to pick a tablet? Are you ok with Wi-Fi only model? Now you have another option to look at from Samsung. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 311 is a Wi-Fi only variant with no SIM card option but otherwise similar in specification as the Galaxy Tab 2 P3100


Let’s do a quick run down on the tech specifications of  Galaxy Tab 2 311. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 311 has a 7-inch display with 1024×600 pixel resolution. Its powered by 1GHz dual-core processor and 1GB RAM. Good news? Galaxy Tab 2 311 comes out of box with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. It sports a dual camera with 3.15MP shooter on the rear and a VGA camera on the front for video calling. Connectivity options include WiFi, bluetooth and USB 2.0. Tab 2 311 has an internal storage of 16 GB that can be additionally expanded upto 32 GB with a microSD card. It is available in white and silver colour.

By bringing a tablet at sub-15K model, Samsung takes on the local manufacturers like Spice, Micromax and Karbonn in the low-cost entry level tablet market. Acer was the first big brand to enter the segment by launching Acer Iconia B1 at sub-10K price. Samsung already the leading tablet seller in India would be hoping to continue its good run with Galaxy Tab 2 311 priced at Rs.13,900.  A good brand, good service and good retail support always does tricks to a brand and Samsung already has an enormous footprint and goodwill in the country.
