India is a fertile market for Chinese Smartphone makers and the latest entrant to test the exploding market is Phicomm from the land of dragons. Today they launched the Passion 660 in India at Rs 10,999 and it will be available exclusively on Amazon India from Tuesday onwards.
Here is a quick run down on the specs and features. Phicomm Passion 660 is a dual-SIM 4G device featuring a 5-inch IPS display with a 1080p resolution with a 441 pixel density and complete with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. While the 64-bit Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU matches up with to the rivals, the Android 4.4.4 KitKat sounds a bit outdated with Lollipop the desert of the season. Phicomm’s own Expect 5.0 UI overlays the Android. There is a 16GB on-board storage and the second SIM slot can add up as microSD card slot when not in use as SIM slot. It can accommodate additional card up to 64GB.
On the camera sheet, we have a 13-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX214 sensor and f/2.0 aperture and on the front we have a 5-megapixel shooter with BSI sensor. A 2,300mAh battery finds place.
