Kobian a leading player in computer peripherals and tablets and owns the Mercury and iXA brands. Under Mercury, the company has launched a rechargable battery powered 3G router in India. The compact router provides simultaneous Wi-Fi connectivity to upto 6 devices with a push of a button and the rechargeable lithium -ion battery has a backup for 5 long hours.

The compact nature of the router which could be mistaken for  a card holder is very easy and light to carry on one’s pocket. This is the second router from Mercury. The 3G Mobile Router can easily be switched between the modem and router modes, with just a flick of a switch. The 3G mobile router provides broadband speed of up to 7.2 Mbps and supports all GSM providers. With such an impressive speed, it makes a perfect 3G Wi-Fi connectivity at places where you don’t have a power outlet and also for group connectivity with your peers and friends.

In the modem mode, 3G Mobile Router acts as a dongle and provides internet connectivity to the host through USB. In the router mode, the dongle will turn into a ‘Hot-Spot’ and serves as a router providing internet access to 6 different devices.

Mercury 3G Mobile Router retails at a  MRP of Rs 5,200 and also comes with a 1 year warranty.
