Karbonn, one of India’s leading home-grown Smartphone manufacturer today launched Aura 9 with a large powerhouse of a battery pack. Priced at Rs 6,390, it is available now in stores to buy.
The highlight of the Karbonn Aura 9 is the large 4000mAh battery pack which is rated to deliver up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 300 hours of standby time. It also supports 21 languages via the SwiftKey on-board.
The Aura 9 has a 5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) IPS LCD display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage with an option to expand up to 32GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat that looks like an old menu with Lolipop getting mainstream and Google already having announced Marshmallow. The software features include Smart Gesture Control for quick access to the applications right from the lockscreen.
On the camera side, it features a 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calling.
The connectivity options include dual-SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth v3.0, and Micro-USB.
With a 4000mAh battery, the Aura 9 is pitted against rival models like Lava Iris Fuel 60, Intex Power Cloud+, iBall Andi F5 infinito with similar battery pack.
