The Laser is the most popular sub-series in the Zefone 2 portfolio, it already has two display variants – a 5-inch and a 5.5-inch screens, today Asus announced another variant stepping up the display size further with Zenfone 2 Laser 6, flaunting a 6-inch fullHD display.
Priced at Rs 17,999, the Laser 6 will be available on Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal starting midnight today and will also hit the shelves of the offline stores from the second week of December.
While the previous variants contented with HD resolution, the Laser 6 gets a 1080p resolution, retina screen with ASUS TrueVivid Full Screen Lamination technology. A latest generation Corning Gorilla Glass 4 gives an extra edge for protection.
Powering the device is a Qualcomm 64-bit Octa Core Processor Snapdragon 616 (MSM8939), 3GB RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. A good 32GB internal storage is complimented by a microSD card slot, that can be expanded up to 128GB. It runs on Android Lollipop with ZenUI 2.0 layered on top of it.
On the photography side, the Laser 6 is equipped with a 13 Mega Pixel Camera with large f/2.0-aperture and 5-element auto-focus lens. True to its name it has Laser Auto Focus for faster focus and a LED Real Tone flash. There is also a 5MP selfie camera. As we have seen in other Zenfone 2 devices, the camera app includes more than a dozen presets for easy use and uses PixelCamera technology.
The Laser 6 is backed by a 3000mAh battery. It will be available in three color variants – Red, Silver and Gold.
