Last December, Asus launched the Zenfone Go in India at Rs 5,299 and it was the most affordable handset in the Zenfone range. It ran on Mediatek processor and offered the Zenfone experience at entry-level. Asus refreshed the Go, replaced the processor with Qualcomm and has launched the new Zenfone Go 4.5 (ZB452KG) and it is available in two variants.
Apart from the processor, the internals of the Go remains the same. The dual-SIM Go is a compact Smartphone with a 4.5-inch display with a 480 x 854 pixels resolution. It is powered by a MSM8212 Quad Core Processor clocked at 1.2GHz and mated to a 1GB of RAM. There is a 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded by up to 64GB via microSD card.
It runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 with Zen UI layered on top. It battery pack includes a 2070mAh brick and the new ZenFone Go 4.5 measures 136.5x67x11mm and weighs 125 grams. It’s sad that it does not support 4G.
The camera differentiates both the variants. One features a 5-megapixel rear camera and 0.3-megapixel front camera and is priced at Rs. 5,299, while the second variant features an 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera and is available at Rs. 5,699.
The Go comes is available in Glamour Red, Pearl White, Lemon Yellow, Glacier Grey, Silver Blue, and Sheer Gold colour variants. The Taiwan based company says the new Go will be available via various platforms including Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon, Paytm, Shopclues, and will be also available via the company’s exclusive stores and other offline stores.
