We reported few days back Xolo plans to launch the fastest smartphone with Intel inside on March 14, the same day Samsung is all set to unleash it’s next Galaxy S4. Today at a press event in Goa, India Xolo, the sub-brand of Lava Mobiles launched the smartphone dubbed Xolo X1000. Today’s device is the third in the company’s X-series with Intel chip inside, other two being X900 and X500. Contrary to the expectation, Xolo X1000 does not come with the Intel Clover Trail+ CPU, which was announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last month. Xolo has decided to go with one generation old Medfield platform 2 Ghz Intel Atom Z2480 processor. But Xolo X1000 has to it’s credit to be the first Smartphone with 2 Ghz Intel Atom processor. Xolo X1000 features a 4.7-inch curved glass display with 1280×720 resolution, 2 Ghz Intel Atom Z2480 processor mated to PowerVR SGX540 GPU and 1 GB RAM. Internal storage includes 8GB internal storage, expandable via microSD up to 32GB. On the camera side, we get a 8 MP rear camera with single LED flash and a 1.3MP front camera. Surprisingly, Xolo has opted for now-outdated Android Ice Cream Sandwich though the company has recently outed many latest Jelly Bean flavoured devices. The LCD display is slightly curved and is made using “single glass solution,” and offers enhanced viewing experience. Xolo X1000 also packs in a 1900 mAh battery. The Xolo X1000 is priced at Rs. 19,999 ($ 367) and is already listed in online e-commerce site Flipkart. ]]>
