Alongside today’s launch of Redmi Note in India, Xiaomi also announced the 4G variant of the Redmi Note which will be available in the second half of December. The Redmi Note 4G is priced at Rs 9,999 making it the cheapest 4G dual-band handset in India. There is a few difference between the Redmi Note and the 4G variant. The foremost is the chipset used. The Redmi Note 4G is powered by a 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor mated to Adreno 305GPU and 2GB RAM. Unlike the Jelly bean flavour of the Redmi Note, the 4G variant gets Android KitKat out of the box smoked by MIUI 5. The other difference being the 4G variant is a single-SIM device. It supports both FDD-LTE at 1800MHz, and TDD-LTE at 2300MHz. The differences stops here and shares the other specs like 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixel resolution) IPS display, 8GB internal storage, microSD slot, 3,100mAh battery, 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. While the Redmi Note 4G will be available like the rest of the Mi devices exclusively on Flipkart, for the first time Xiaomi is also making available the Redmi Note 4G available on select Airtel stores though to pick the devices from the stores, the users has to first pre-register online. ]]>
