Xiaomi announced today at an bloggers meet at Delhi that it’s budget Android Smartphone Redmi 1S will go on sale on September 1 and registration for its now ‘most-talked’ about ‘flash sales’ starts today. Interestingly, it also cut the final price of the device by Rs. 1000 and is priced at Rs. 5,999. A price that is sure to blow away the competition. For Redmi 1S, the company says there will be more device available for the first flash sales unlike the heartburns the Mi3 created.
So why is Xiaomi Redmi 1S such an irresistible deal? Check the specs. The Redmi 1S features a 4.7-inch display with a 1280×720 pixel resolution with Dragontrail glass protection. Powered by a 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor mated to Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM. It runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.3 but then the device gets the Xiaomi’s MIUI 5 sugar coating and the company promises the latest MIUI 6 to be available shortly.
The internal storage of 8GB can be expanded further via microSD card. On the camera side, there is a dual-camera set up with a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.6MP front shooter. There is also a 2000mAh battery in this dual-SIM phone. With these specs, Redmi 1S is a real game changer in terms of specs and features, don’t you agree?
