The Mi5 would be available in three colors – Black, white and a golden shade. It measures 7.25 mm and weights just 129 grams. A 3000mAh battery is fitted into this slim profile. The device supports Quick Charge 3.0 and Xiaomi says the device can top 80% – 90 % in 60 minutes. The home button on the front also doubles as a finger print scanner. On the camera front, The Mi 5 is equipped with a Sony IMX298 sensor, 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, 6P lens, sapphire glass protection lens and 4-axis OIS. Xiaomi claims the 4-axis OIS is an industry first and offers way better image stabilization. The 4-axis OIS works on horizontal and vertical image stabilization and comes very handy in the close ups and long shots.The selfie camera is similar to the one on the Mi Note with a 4-megapixel sensor with 2-micron pixels. Other technical details shared by Xiaomi on Mi5 includes Qualcomm’s Spectra image processor for shooting 4K videos, color enhancement and dark light enhancement. The DTI pixel to pixel isolation technology makes sure there is no light bleeding into the other pixels which helps deliver better colors and better picture quality smartphone.
