Sony’s first 5-inch Android smartphone is officially launched in India and priced at Rs. 38,990 . The much-awaited smartphone unveiled this year at CES will be available from March 12.

Sony India is also bundling a lot of freebies with the Xperia Z. A 8 GB of data for free for two months with the Xperia Z from Vodafone and free downloads of 15 lakh songs from Sony Music store within six months of purchase. Xperia Z looks very premium made with tempered glass in the front and back, the device is both dust-resistant and water-resistant. With a a super-slim design, a fab-camera specs and a 5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels backed up with Sony’s Mobile Bravia Engine 2 technology, Sony Xperia Z is a device that commands attention. The device is powered by a 1.5 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor along with an Adreno 320 GPU mated to a 2 GB RAM. On a shooter side Xperia Z is equipped with a 13 MP camera with a Exmor RS sensor capable to record HDR video. There is also a 2 MP front-facing camera.
