First time I saw the image, I oogled at it. Damn! LG should bring an Android phone on this shell but it has outed it on a Firefox OS and for Japanese market. Firefox is launching its first firefox OS powered device in Japan and it has joined hands with LG and come out with this beautifully bare device, LG FxO featuring a transparent shell with the golden Firefox logo at the back. Designed by Tokujin Yoshioka, who previously worked on LG G3’s design, the device comes with a 4.7-inch display and the design bares all the internal components for the world to see. On the specs count, it is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with 1.5GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. A 2,370mAh of battery is thrown in. “We are very pleased to bring the first Firefox OS smartphone, based on Web technology standards, to the Japanese market today,” said Takashi Tanaka, President of KDDI. “KDDI hopes to build the new era of the Web through Web of Things, enabling everyone to create custom connected Web experiences.” LG FxO goes on sale beginning tomorrow on a limited edition and will be widely available from January first week onwards. Firefox OS though appreciated for its intuitive UI suffers from lack of apps and Firefox might hope the likes of FxO will attract the developer community to look at its ecosystem.]]>
