First year celebration? It seems like Xiaomi is here for good many years but apparently its just been their first year outing in India and they are celebrating their stupendous success in the Indian market. It’s a dream run for the spectacular Chinese startup company who has made huge strides in India and now are the fifth largest vendor here. Starting the journey n India with Mi3, and following it up around half a dozen models and accessories including the global launch of Mi4i in India, its an eventful first year. Xiaomi is also credited to make the flash-sale model of selling Smartphones popular that was lapped by its rivals. As part of the anniversary celebrations, Mi India is introducing daily offers from July 22 and July 28 on their own online store as well as other e-commerce partner sites including FlipKart, Amazon and Snapdeal. They have also announced the 32GB variant of the Mi4i in India which is priced at Rs 14,999, a Rs 2,000 bump up from the 16GB variant. To will be available in dark grey, the Mi4i 32GB will be available only on Mi.com, with registration starting 10am today and the first sale at 2pm on 28 July, 2015. A quick recap on the Mi4i: It features a 5” 1080p Full HD IPS Sunlight Display. Under the hood is a second-generation 1.7GHz Snapdragon 615 octa-core (1.1GHz quad-core + 1.7GHz quad-core) 64-bit processor paired with 2GB of RAM. On the software front it runs on Android Lollipop-based MIUI 6. A 3120mAh battery juices up the device. The camera specs include a 13MP f/2.0 rear camera and 5MP f/1.8 front-facing camera. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots with both supporting LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS.
