Honor, the sub-brand of Huawei is back with a new flagship device in India, the Honor 7, priced at Rs 22,999 and will be available via Flipkart from October 15. It will be available in Mystery Gray and Silver color variants. The Honor 7 features an all-metal unibody design made of aluminum alloy and flaunts a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixel) display with a pixel density of 423ppi. Powered by company’s own 64-bit octa-core Kirin 935 processor (four Cortex-A53 cores at 2.2GHz + four Cortex-A53 at 1.5GHz) combined with 3GB of RAM and ARM’s Mali-T628 GPU, it runs EMUI 3.1 skinned on top of Android Lollipop. The company says the Honor 7 will receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in February 2016. There is a 16GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot which can accomodate up to 128GB. The company was non-committal on any timeline for the 32GB / 64GB variants. On the camera side, the Honor 7 fits a 20-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus, the company claims it can lock the focus in 0.1 seconds. The camera module comprises of Sony IMX230 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 6-lens module, dual-LED flash and sapphire glass for added protecction. An 8-megapixel front-facing 26mm wide-angle fixed focus camera with a f/2.4 aperture with a front-facing flash should bring smiles to the selfie population. The Honor 7 also features a fingerprint sensor positioned below the rear camera and it claims to scan fingerprints in half a second. There is also a dedicated hardware button can be customized to open specific apps based on a single press, long press, or double press. A 3100mAh battery finds place and quick charging is supported and it claims to fully charge the battery from zero within 1 hour 25 minutes. The device uses USB type-C . Connectivity options include 4G LTE, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS. Honor 7 reads a 143.2 x 71.9 x 8.5mm on dimension scale, and weighs 157g.
