At a global event at Beijing, Gionee took the wraps off their next flagship device that has been much talked about of late for its rumoured big camera capabilities. The Elife E8 comes with a 24MP primary camera along with some serious fire power. Before we delve into the camera, here are the other specs that matters equally important. The dual-SIM Elife E8 is a biggie with a 6-inch AMOLED display with an Quad HD (2560×1440) resolution stacking 490 ppi. The fire power comes from the Mediatek Helio X10 chipset with an octa-core processor clocked at up 2GHz, a PowerVR 6200 GPU and 3GB of RAM. A 64GB of internal storage leaves a plenty of room to fill in. Then, there is a 3500mAh battery with fast charging mode. The LTE suppoted phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. Now the main highlight of the E8, the 24-megapixel rear camera, the max out there amongst all the current flagship devices, discounting the Lumia 1020, which has lost the luster now. Gionee says the software tricks can produce images up to crazy 120-megapixels resolution. The camera setup includes a six-element lens with sapphire glass front element. Gionee says the camera app can open up in less than a second. The camera is capable of 4K recording and Gionee talks about lossless zoom. There is a 8MP front camera with auto-focus. The Elife E8 comes with fingerprint scanner and other features includes NFC, dual speaker, HIFI sound. The Elife E8 sounds too exciting on paper doesn’t it?
