Casio G-Shock is a tough nut to crack smartphone

GzOne Commando, a smartphone that can make your regular smartphones a weakling. How tough is it? It is made to comply with military’s rugged 801G specifications for water, dust, shock, salt fog, vibration, solar radiation, and temperature extremes. What it translate to is the handset can survive a 3.3 feet immersion under water for 30 minutes, withstand a 4 ft drop not just once but 24 times, survive extreme temperatures of 85 degree centigrade and minus 25 degree centigrade for 96 hours. Now you agree to its macho talk, won’t you?

But to be frank, commando inspite of the tough spec it delivers is not a best looking phone nor sports a tough, macho look it is supposed to be. So the news is the yet to be launched G-shock would make look commando a toy in comparison. Casio has unveiled the prototype though much of the hardware and software specification is yet to be revealed. The G-shock follows the design principles one is used to with Casio’s G-shock series of watches.  The display is encased by a tough armory kind of case with the buttons placed carefully on the corners to withstand the fall and absorb any damages. Metal body case and exposed screws gives a toughie look that gives an impression of a military hardware. And ofcourse the Mr.tough comes with  figures of shock-resistant (10 feet), pressure-resistant (1.0 ton) and water-resistant (1.0 bar). So if you are an extreme adventure guy or just plain careless guy who would crash your phones every fall now and then or you work on extreme conditions, wait for the G-shock to hit the market soon. Yes, it works on Android, if you are an app-dict.]]>
