The wait is finally over. The much awaited and delayed Redmi Note was launched in India today at Rs. 8,999 which is a 1000 bucks lesser than the originally announced Indian price. The first flash sales is scheduled on Dec 2 on Flipkart and the registration to get lucky at the flash sales kick starts tomorrow 6:00 PM onwards. The Redmi Note features a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display offering a pixel density of 267 ppi and strengthened by Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Powering the Note is a 1.7GHz Mediatek MT6592 oct0-core processor, 2GB of RAM, Mali-450 GPU. It has a 8GB onboard storage which can be expanded via external microSD card. On the software side, it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean masked under MIUI version 5. The camera set up includes a 13-megapixel primary camera with autofocus and LED flash and features a ƒ/2.2 aperture and 28mm wide angle lens. A 5-megapixel camera should keep the selfies happier. Redmi Note includes a 3,100mAh battery and it supports fast-charging. The camera states the battery should hold for 14 hours on 3G and 775 hours on standby mode. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. Xiaomi also announced 4G variant of Redmi Note today priced a Rs.1000 more than the standard Redmi Note.
