A group of Gujarati entrepreneurs and fans of Narendra Modi, CM of Gujarat and BJP’s face for the upcoming Parliament election has plans to come up with an Android smartphone by August end. Aptly named Smart Namo, with NaMo standing for Narendra Modi and Next generation Android Mobile Odyssey the makers hope to get the CM’s permission to use his signature in all the NaMo branded smartphone.
Going by the specs available the smartphone is no pushover. It is expected to have a 5 inch IPS panel display with full HD (1920x 1080) pixels) resolution, 1.5 Ghz quad core processor, 2 GB RAM and 16/32 GB inbuilt memory and a 13 megapixel camera. The display also features Gorilla Glass 2 coating to keep it scratch resistant.
Sources say the smartphone also will be pre-loaded with apps and videos to highlight Brand Narendra Modi. The company has set up an assembly unit in Gandhinagar, Gujarat and plans to rollout atleast four models catering to various price range.
