Yes, you read it right. A five incher for less than 7K. While the price hits a sweet-pot that cannot be said about the specs.
Micromax A72 Canvas Viva features a 5-inch display with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution and powered by 1 GHz processor combined with a 256 MB of RAM. The only BIG let down from the BIG sized phone is it runs on the out-dated Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Did I hear your murmur who bakes Gingerbread these days into smartphones?
It has a paltry 110 MB internal storage (what would you do with that any way?! So you better have to slot in additional external memory which it can hold upto 32 GB via microSD card. Other specs include a 3 megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, 2,000 mAh battery.
Ok, so the specs disappoints clearly but then a 5-inch smartphone for Rs.6,999 might find some takers on a shoe-string budget but who wants to hold a big phone on hands. Why should only the hefty-pursers have all the fun?
