The crowded budget smartphone segment just got a new addition with Oppo Joy joining the party. Making a debut last month in Indonesia, the compact Android smartphone from Oppo, made its way into Indian market today at a price of Rs 8,990. The dual-SIM Oppo Joy features a 4-inch WVGA display (800×480 pixel resolution) and powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek dual-core processor mated to a Mali 400 GPU and 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage expandable further via MicroSD card up to 32GB. Other specs include a 3-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera and a 1,700mAh battery. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS heavily layered heavily with Oppo’s proprietory ColorOS UX. The device measures 124x63x9.9mm and weighs 125 grams and comes in black and white color variants.
