The sub-8K mobile market is getting heated up and overcrowded ever since Moto E launched. As a domino effect, home grown players like Micromax, Karbonn, Lava have outed their own share of models to take on the segment. Today Xolo, a sub-brand of Lava mobiles launched Xolo Q600s running on Android Kitkat OS out of the box and priced at an introductory price of Rs 7,499 on Snapdeal. The press release says after 5th of July the device would be pricier by 1000 bucks and available for Rs 8,499. Though initially it will be Snapdeal exclusive, soon it will be available on other retail outlets. The dual-SIM Xolo Q600s comes with a 4.5-inch qHD (960×540 pixels) IPS display with OGS (One Glass Solution) which reduces the display thickness. Powered by a Broadcom quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and paired with 1GB of RAM, there is a 4GB internal storage that can be expanded via a microSD card. Camera options include a 5-megapixel rear camera with a BSI sensor and a VGA front camera. A 2,000mAh battery is included and the company states a total standby time up to 400 hours, talk time up to 11 hours and music play time up to 47.6 hours. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support Bluetooth and GPS. The built-in sensors include Accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor. At 7.9 mm the device is also quiet thin at this price segment compared to other competing models.
