Xolo today entered the tablet segment by officially announcing their first tablet, Xolo Tab. The tablet comes with an 8-inch display, with 3G and voice calling support and priced at Rs 13,499 Let’s talk specs. The 8-inch IPS display of Xolo Tab features a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution stacking 160 ppi. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8225Q quad-core processor clocking at 1.2GHz and 1GB RAM mated to Adreno 203 GPU, the tablet runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. While there is a modest 4GB internal storage only 2.5GB is user-available but there is always a microSD slot to bump the storage to upto 32GB. The camera specs include a 2 megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera for 3G video calling needs. The tab is capable of HD video playback at 720p @ 30fps. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, AGPS and 3G video and voice calling. Weighing weighs 480gram, the tablet packs a 4,000mAh battery, which the company’s claims will provide up to 12 hours of talk time and 360 hours of standby time on 3G.
