Sony launched today the 'mini' variant of its flagship device Z1 in India, Sony Xperia Z1 Compact which was unveiled earlier this year at CES event. Priced at Rs 36,990, the Z1 Compact does not compromise on the fire power unlike most other flagship mini devices.
While the Z1 boasts of a 5-inch display, the Z1 Compact features a 4.3-inch Triluminos HD display with a 1,280 x 720 pixel resolution and enhanced by a X-Reality engine for mobiles. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz along with a 2 GB RAM and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS.
A 16GB of internal storage is on-board and can be further expanded by up to 64GB via a microSD card. A 2,300mAh battery supplies the battery juice.
Xperia Z1 Compact by no means has any mini-scaled version take on imaging department but takes a mega-shot with an impressive 20.7 megapixel rear camera with a 1/2.3-type CMOS image sensor Exmor RS for mobile. This is boosted with G Lens and intelligent BIONZ for mobile image processing engine. On the front, there is a 2-megapixel camera. The camera features list is also enhanced with features like time shift burst with 61 frames in just two seconds, info-eye visual search, social live and augmented reality extensions.
Weighing 137 grams, Z1 Compact is waterproof and dust-proof like few other flagship Xperia smartphone devices. Sony Xperia Z1 will be available on stores from next week.]]>
