The NC200 comes in a shiny, white body. The main camera head has a ball joint that gives a good degree of positioning for optimum coverage and is connected to the stand. The stand in turn can be mounted on the wall or any surface by screwing or the included stick-on tape that comes with the package.
The glossy housing has a black matte rectangular face in the front that houses the &#8216;eye&#8217;.  It features a 1/4&#8243; progressive scan CMOS sensor with a f2.8 lens. It offers a 64 degree viewing angle. The video is captured at 20fps. The front of the camera holds the lens, a microphone, and power and Wi-Fi LED indicators.
<a href="http://techraman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/TP-link-ip-camera.jpg" data-rel="lightbox-image-1" data-rl_title="" data-rl_caption="" title=""><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-9476" src="http://techraman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/TP-link-ip-camera.jpg" alt="TP-link-ip-camera" width="900" height="598" srcset="https://techraman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/TP-link-ip-camera.jpg 900w, https://techraman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/TP-link-ip-camera-300x199.jpg 300w, https://techraman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/TP-link-ip-camera-768x510.jpg 768w, https://techraman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/TP-link-ip-camera-360x239.jpg 360w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></a>
The back hosts the ethernet jack, power inlet and a Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)button. There is no microSD card slot, so you can&#8217;t store the images locally on the camera itself.
<a href="http://techraman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/TP-link-cloud-camera.jpg" data-rel="lightbox-image-2" data-rl_title="" data-rl_caption="" title=""><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-9477" src="http://techraman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/TP-link-cloud-camera.jpg" alt="TP-link-cloud-camera" width="900" height="598" srcset="https://techraman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/TP-link-cloud-camera.jpg 900w, https://techraman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/TP-link-cloud-camera-300x199.jpg 300w, https://techraman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/TP-link-cloud-camera-768x510.jpg 768w, https://techraman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/TP-link-cloud-camera-360x239.jpg 360w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></a>
Installing the NC200 is a fairly easy task. Once you power on the camera, the LED indicator blinks red and settles to red if it is not connected to a network. When you set it up for the first time, use the Ethernet cable to connect the camera with the router. The indicator turns green when it is connected.
If you use an Android or iPhone, you can download the TP-link tpCamera app. On computer you can login to tplinkcloud.com portal for viewing and management of the camera. I connected the camera on my Android phone. Once the app is downloaded, the setup is straightforward. Register and login to the app and connect to your Wireless network. It will scan and show the list of cameras on the network. You can rename the camera and if there are more than one camera in the building, renaming helps in easy identification. The app asks you to connect the camera wirelessly. At this point the camera can be detached from the Ethernet cable and moved around and positioned any place within the wireless network.
<a href="http://techraman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/tp-link-app.jpg" data-rel="lightbox-image-3" data-rl_title="" data-rl_caption="" title=""><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-9478" src="http://techraman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/tp-link-app.jpg" alt="tp-link-app" width="900" height="598" srcset="https://techraman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/tp-link-app.jpg 900w, https://techraman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/tp-link-app-300x199.jpg 300w, https://techraman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/tp-link-app-768x510.jpg 768w, https://techraman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/tp-link-app-360x239.jpg 360w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></a>

<h2><span style="color: #008000;">Features and Performance</span></h2>

From the app you can record the video locally on your device and even snap a pic. A 4X digital zoom, allows you to take a closer look at the screen. From the computer you can also setup a E-mail or FTP notifications triggered by motion detection.
Being a max 480p resolution, the image output is moderately decent enough but not very sharp. It suits the need for home use. Also, there is no night vision, if you are looking at night-vision NC220 could come handy. Though, I have not tested it. Since there is no local storage, the only way to capture the images are on your device, Smartphone or computer.

<h2><span style="color: #008000;">Conclusion</span></h2>

The NC200 could be your basic home surveillance and offers a no-frills setup and easy management. The image quality is decent. If you are particular about a very sharper image, night vision and local storage, you can give it a miss. Else, if you want a simple, affordable cloud camera to monitor your home when you are afar, this makes sense. In India, the NC200 is launched at MRP Rs 2200, you might get a good discount too when you look around in market. At this price, it justifies what it delivers &#8211; a simple third eye, accessible on your Smartphone.]]&gt; </p>
