Opera's mantra for its mobile browser has always been to minimize the user's data consumption as much as possible without hampering with their browsing experience. It not just reduces the data cost but also speeds up the browser.
Today the company announced the Opera Mini 9 for iOS devices and the highlight of the update is the 'video boost' feature which promises to optimize the video content so they load faster and consume less data.
One thing that puts as down while watching the video is the buffering wheel, quiet annoying and many would agree with me on this. The Opera Mini 9 offers to kill the mobile video buffering both on iPhone and iPads. The latest version if the browser uses 'Skyfire Rocket Optimizer Engine' to crunch the videos for faster uploads and less data usage. Opera Mini 9 works with the latest iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and the new iPads.
To turn on the feature, in the new browser enable the Opera Turbo. Tap the O menu, then tap Savings Enabled, choose Opera Turbo, and toggle on Video Boost.
Enjoy!
