Recently Google Play Store started<strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #008000; text-decoration: underline;"><a href="http://techraman.com/google-play-books-now-available-in-india/"><span style="color: #008000; text-decoration: underline;"> retailing books</span></a> </span></span></strong>and with the Nexus tablet now being available signals the growing interest Google sees in Indian e-commerce market and the growing Android user base in India.
The Nexus 7 was first showcased in June 2012 and went on sale from mid-July. The Google branded Nexus 7 is made by Asus and at the time of its launch, the 8GB Wi-Fi version of Nexus 7 was available for $199, but later for the same price 16 GB was made available. Though the price seems to be big higher in India in comparison to the US retail price, other variables like transit cost and import duties has to be taken into account for.
The 7-inch tablet features a IPS HD display screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixel (216 ppi) and runs Android Jelly Bean 4.1 and is powered by the Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz and 1 GB RAM.  The tablet has a 1.2 megapixel front camera and a 4325 mAh battery. It also includes NFC functionality and micro USB port.
