At an event in New Delhi LG today launched the curved display Android Smartphone LG G Flex in India which the company unveiled recently back in October 28. If you are planning to loosen up your purse to buy the G Flex, you have to wait till February that is when it will hit the stores and would be priced around Rs 60,000-65,000.

The curved display is one of the indicators of the future course of smartphones with companies working on flexible form factor. LG G Flex has a unique design what with a curved display and a self-healing back panel. A coating on the rear panel promises to recover from small scratches on the back and keep it clean. How far and how long it works has to be tested in real scenario.
G Flex features a 6-inch 720p Curved P-OLED (Real RGB) display. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.26GHz, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (No external memory slot) the smartphone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Android 4.4 KitKat already out, it is slightly dampening.
Similar to LG G2 flagship model, the power and volume controls are placed on the rear. On the camera side, there is a 13 megapixel camera and a 2.1 megapixel front facing shooter. A 3,500 mAh battery finds its place inside. Connectivity options in the phone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/AGPS, NFC and 3G HSPA+ network support.
With all the innovative design factor aside a price range of Rs 60,000 to Rs 65,000 seems tad too steep a curve.]]>
