There is a sudden rush to take on the Moto E and almost all the Mobile makers in India are on a launch spree in the entry-level segment. Karbonn Titanium S99 is one attempt to crack the segment, priced at Rs 5,990 the smartphone runs on Android KitKat OS. Talking about specs, we are looking at a 4-inch IPS display, powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor mated to a 512MB of RAM. Karbonn has outed yet another budget smartphone to its Duple series named Karbonn Retina A27 Karbonn Retina A27 is a dual-SIM smartphone (dual standby support) with a 4.3 inch qHD IPS display with a 960 x 540 pixel resolution running on Android Jelly Bean OS. The device is powered by 1.2GHz dual core processor mated to a 512MB RAM. It has an internal storage of 4 GB out of which 2.97GB is actual available resource for users, it can of course be expanded upto 32 GB via microSD card. On the camera specs, Karbonn Retina A27 features a 8 MP camera with LED flash in the rear with face detection feature and a 2 MP front facing camera. The Karbonn Smart A111 is a latest roll-out from Karbonn Mobiles featuring a 5-inch display and powered by 1.2 GHz Scorpion Dual Core Processor [dropcap]T[/dropcap]he phablet market is getting crowded as well as fiercely competitive with prices dropping below sub-10K level. Continuing the onslaught on the budget phablet market are Micromax and Karbonn with both the companies relentlessly launching more models at attractive pricing. Karbonn Smart A111 is yet to be officially launched 5-incher but the smartphone is spotted on Flipkart at a retail price of Rs.10,290. Smart A111 is a dual-SIM smartphone with a 5 inch large display and featuring a 4 touch sensitive buttons on the front. Though there is no mention of the resolution, I assume it would be 400 x 800 . Sitting inside is a 1.2 GHz scorpion dual core processor and 512 MB RAM. With the quad core processors based smartphones being available for sub-15K recently, dual core in this price range might be hitting the fag end giving way for quad core to fill in the category soon. Surprisingly Karbonn which took the lead in releasing JellyBean based smartphones among the local mobile manufacturers has opted for Ice Cream Sandwich for Karbonn Smart A111.
