The Korean giant launched Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 rechristened Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 211 in India for Rs. 17,745. The slate which was announced back in April this year finds it's way to Indian shelves and will be available from this Sunday onwards.

Though the mini tablet does not excite us on the specs front, it would help the company ward off the stiff challenges posed by local OEM’s as well as low-cost slates from Asus and Lenovo.
The Galaxy Tab 3 211 features a a 7-inch TFT display with a not so impressive resolution of 1024×600 pixels . It has a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz supplied by Marvell. Other specs include 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory which is expandable via a microSD card slot. Camera specs reads a 3-megapixel camera in the back and a 1.9-megapixel camera in the front. It has a 4,000 mAh battery and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean topped by Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI. It also supports 3G connectivity.
