Last year Amazon announced Kindle Instant Previews a convenient mode for Kindle users to share quotes, excerpts from eBooks with non-kindle users without having to sign-in or install the app. This also becomes convenient for publishers and authors to make their work more visible on various social network platform and blog posts. It also helps bloggers and websites that review books to integrate the preview experience by embedding a widget on their sites, blogs or apps. When the link is embedded, the book cover images changes to a free sample of the book and gives a seamless experience within the site. The new experience shall be an immense, enriching tool for book review platforms. The Kindle Instant preview can also be tied to the Amazon associates program, so the bloggers and publishers can earn an advertising fee from the sale of that particular book which the user discovered through the URL. February last year Amazon made a backdoor entry into the Indian market with Junglee, which was rather a product discovery and price comparison model. Now the e-commerce giant has arrived with its original business model with drums rolling to take on the $400 billion retail market by launching it’s Indian site, Amazon.in With the addition of India, Amazon has 10 market place globally. Currently Amazon India site lists books and movies with coming soon section indicating camera, mobiles and more. The marketplace allows sellers in India to establish a virtual rack space and benefit from Amazon’s technology,innovative service, shopping and payment infrastructure to read a wider audience pan-India. For sellers they offer two services ‘Sell on Amazon’ and ‘Fulfillment by Amazon’ With over 7 million books to choose from, the company is also offering free home delivery for a limited time for products listed with ‘Fulfilled by Amazon’.
