TabPlus Ginger – A value for money, slim, budget tablet priced at Rs.6,900

With Ice Cream Sandwich the latest flavour of Android and even with the big names of the Tablet industry still struggling to provide ICS update (am still awaiting upgrade for my Android tablet! *sighs*), this Ginger tablet comes with the ICS Android 4.0.3.
Also it packs a 1 GHz Cortex processor and a 512 MB RAM and has a 7″ capacitive LCD screen with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution.
On the form factor, the tablet is very impressive than most other tablets of its league even compared the likes of HCL, iBall and other similar makers. It looks sleek with a nice body case with a thickness of just 8.8 mm and weighing 380 grams and measuring 195x 123mm. It sports a good looking back panel that curves smoothly inside, a good texture that sits nicely on hands and sporting the brand name.
On the right hand side of the tablet nests most of the ports, slots and jacks which include a microSD slot, micro USB slot, a HDMI output, 3.5 mm headphone jack, built in mic and speaker.
On the left hand side sits the power on/off and the volume rocker.
So the botttom line is Tab plus Ginger sports a more than decent form factor and doesnt in any way looks a cheaper tablet. As far the performance, ofcourse there is a very slight lag but then I don’t think one should be really complaining about it considering the pricing of the tablet and the over all decent specs and quality.

Our final word, we are very impressed with this tablet for its value for money. If you want to buy it the only sore note is you would be hardpressed to find a retailer since it is available in limited stores. But you can directly place an order with the company and they would be couriering it to your door.
