samsung-galaxy-note-3Design-wise Samsung has meted out some surprising yet pleasant changes to Galaxy Note 3. The highlight is the back panel with Samsung ditching its fondness for shiny plastic and instead using a peculiar textured faux-leather backing with even details to stitching pattern. The sides has a faux-metal band and on close scrutiny they have fine lines reminding of hardcover note pages. The overall design shape of the Note 3 reverts to the original Galaxy Note with sharper corners. In spite of having a larger screen, Note 3 maintains the same width as the previous generation, Galaxy Note II courtesy small bezels. The device is also slimmer (8.3mm) and lighter (168g) in it’s new avatar. In total, Galaxy Note 3 is a step forward on design scale and looks appealing and beautiful especially with the faux-leather backing. Samsung has done incredible job with S-Pen.
