By now I have lost count of all the galaxies out there and am not even talking about the celestial galaxies but Samsung’s ever increasing galaxy range of smartphones. Yet another day, yet another Galaxy is outed – now it’s Samsung Galaxy Core.
The latest entrant features a 4.3 inch WVGA screen with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. On the core of it is a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage which ofcourse can be expanded via microSD card. Camera set up is made of a 5 megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera while a 1800 mAh battery fits the boot. Standard connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS finds their way in.
Do you think Samsung is over-killing the Galaxy brand? As long as the company is selling the Galaxy range of smartphones in bucket loads, Samsung might be happy but I hope they realize over-diluting a brand is not always a good idea.
Galaxy Core also figures in Smart features like Smart Stay that keeps the screen on till your eyes are focused on screen, Smart Alert that notifies you of missed calls and messages when you pick up the phone , S Voice a siri-like app that allows for
voice commanding the device and Samsung Motion UI that prompts certain commands through gestures and motions.
