It’s ‘open sesame‘ for quad-core budget smartphones in India, with many models popping up frequently boasting of quad-core processor as the selling point. Lava Mobiles which is literally unleashing a device every week has launched its first quad-core device under Xolo brand, Xolo Q800.
Xolo Q800, the first device in its Q series is powered by 1.2 Ghz quad-core MediaTek processor which has become the preferred choice for almost all low-cost quad core devices. The 4.5 inch dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with a qHD IPS panel display with 540 x 960 resolution, which does not make into HD screen category.
Along side 1.2 Ghz quad-core processor is a 1 GB RAM and a 4 GB internal storage expandable upto 32 GB via microSD card. On the shooter side, Xolo q800 features a 8 MP rear camera that can shoot 720p videos and a 1.2 MP front camera. The device packs in a 2100 mAh battery.
