Fresh after launching Canvas HD and sneaking out silently A89 Ninja, Micromax outed today A27 Ninja, a 3.5 inch dual-SIM smartphone that might be priced less than Rs.5000
Update: A27 Ninja is now available online for Rs. 3,399
Micromax A27 Ninja aimed at the entry-level smartphone segment packs a TFT screen with a display resolution of 320 by 480 pixels. A far cry from the canvas and few other ninja’s in the company’s portfolio.
As a selling point, the phone features a a swipe and share feature, which lets you share apps, games, photos, videos, songs and much more with just a simple swipe.
The swipe and share allows you to drag contents across the screen or simply shake and share seamlessly between two Android devices, with the help of inbuilt ‘flash transfer’ option.
The dual SIM A27 Ninja is powered by a single core Spreadtrum SC6820 processor mated to a 256 RAM. The device has a 160 MB internal storage, which can be expanded upto 16 GB though microSD card.
How many new Gingerbread handsets you come across? Micromax A27 Ninja is still stuck at Android 2.3 Gingerbread while the world is smelling at JellyBean.
Though the company shies away from divulging the camera specs and simply puts it as digital camera with no flash and autofocus. It mentions 640*480 video recording. So we assume it to be a sub-3 MP camera, a very low end one at it.
The phone is powered with a 14oo mAh battery which supports 4.5 hours of talk time and about 260 hours of standby time.
Connectivity options include 2G, WiFi, Bluetooth, microUSB and lacks GPS and 3G.
To sum it up A27 Ninja is targeted at the very basic entry-level smartphone buyers.
