Lenovo Vibe P1 and Vibe P1m launched; comes with massive battery

With Diwali just around the corner, Lenovo announced today two new phones in their Vibe series, the Vibe P1 and Vibe P1m, priced at Rs 15,999 and Rs 7,999 respectively, and will go on sale exclusively via Flipkart. The highlight of both the phones are their massive battery packs.
The Vibe P1 will be available on open sale from October 27 onwards, while the Vibe P1m takes flash sale route and the fist sale is scheduled at 6:00PM, October 28. Registrations for the first sale kick start tonight.
Both the phones were revealed at the IFA and what sets apart the phones as mentioned earlier are the huge battery. The Vibe P1 boasts a massive 5,000mAh battery, while the Vibe P1m boasts a slightly smaller 4000 mAh battery, which is still better block than what most Smartphones features these days. The batteries also pack few tricks. They feature quick charging capabilities plus they also sport a physical power saver switch, which the company claims can instantly extend the smartphones’ battery life. With a bigger battery pack on its back, the phones also comes with OTG charging capabilities, that means both these phone can also act like a powerbank. Lenovo Vibe P1 specifications and features:
The Vibe P1 features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 405 GPU and with a 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.
The camera specs include a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and phase-detection autofocus and the front fits in a 5-megapixel selfie camera. As mentioned above, it packs a 5,000mAh battery which Lenovo claims will give a 44 hours of talktime and up 25 days of standby. It it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
To sweeten it up further, there is also a fingerprint scanner and connectivity options include dual-SIM slot, 4G LTE support, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and GPS.
Lenovo Vibe P1m Specifications and features:
The Vibe P1m has a slightly smaller display with a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display, and is powered by a MediaTek chipset, a 64-bit quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. There is a 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
On the camera side, there is a 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera up front. As stated in the beginning, there is a 4000mAh battery that the company claims is good enough for 16 hours of talktime and up to 24 days on standby mode.
Though there is no fingerprint scanner, the Vibe P1m has its own ace up the sleeves. It comes with a nano-coating, which can protect the handset against accidental water splashes but do note it is not water resistant. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, and GPS.
