Lenovo A6000 Launched at CES; The affordable 4G Smartphone will be Flipkart exclusive

Earlier we reported and showed the leaked images of an affordable LTE device Lenovo will be launching shortly in India and today at the CES event, the company officially took the wraps of the device, the Lenovo A6000 4G smartphone. It is also known that it will exclusively on Flipkart and likely to be competitively priced to take on the Redmi Note and Yu Yureka. The smartphone is reportedly priced at $169 (Rs 10,500 approximately), however it is more likely to be priced around INR 8,000 when it arrives at this part of the world. The Lenovo A6000 comes with a 5-inch IPS display with a 720p resolution and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat with Vibe UI 2.0 skin on top. The hardware muscle includes a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) clocked at 1.2GHz and 1GB if RAM. Also included is 8GB internal storage with a microSD slot to expand further. Other specs include 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, twin-speakers with Dolby Digital Plus technology and a 2,300mAh battery. The company claims a 13 hours of talktime and up to 11.5 days on standby mode. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0. The A6000 weighs 128grams and measures 8.2mm in thickness. It will be directly pitted against the Yu Yureka and Redmi Note 4G, both are equally affordable but has a 5.5-inch display. Though today’s announcement didn’t show the device to be compatible with the 2300MHz Band 40 (TDD-LTE) used by India’s 4G networks. It is likely when the device arrives here it will support it.  ]]>
