Gionee has sold over 7million devices in India and is looking at doubling the sales in 2015-16 with inventory rolling out from the Indian manufacturing facility. Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh said “With the current interest levels, I am hopeful that Andhra Pradesh will be producing 6-7 million phones per month by the end of next year. With our strategic location, best-in-class policies, conducive business environment and robust skill base, my Government is committed to building a robust electronic manufacturing ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh.” Stressing on the importance of the India as a manufacturing hub, Mr. William Lu, President Gionee said, “We are very excited to have begun our India manufacturing. We would be working towards making India manufacturing a hub for not only India, but nearby countries too”
