The device is powered by a QUALCOMM snapdragon S800 chipset, on a 2.2 GHz quad-core processor. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS with a layer of the company’s own Amigo 2.0 UI. A 2500mAh battery is slapped on the device.
Elife E7 comes in a colorful shell of black, white, blue, pink, green, yellow, and orange and is available in 16GB and 32GB variants. Elife E7 is available in both 3G and 4G variants. ELIFE E7 3G comes with a quad-core processor and the company claims it the world’s first smartphone to be equipped with the Qualcomm 8974AC version 2.5 GHz quad-core processor. E7 3G comes in two versions — WCDMA and TD-WCDMA. The smartphone also supports NFC.
Gionee has included many features to both the UI and camera. The camera tricks include new auto-makeup effects to enhance the beauty of the subjects in the picture, SR – Auto, an intuitive scene recognition function that automatically changes the settings to one of the seven available modes automatic, portrait, Micro, night, night portrait, backlight, backlight portrait. There are also a new photo album feature similar to Samsung’s Story Album feature that categorizes photos in the gallery by time, place and events. The other UI features include double tap to wakeup the screen, black screen gesture which enables to simply draw on the screen and go to the corresponding function or action. E7 also brings some voice commands for operations.
Elife E7 will be available in China from December 5 and will come to India in January next year. Gionee Elife E7 also will get a smaller sibling, E7mini with a Mediatek octa-core chipset which will be the one of the world first true octa-core phone.
