One doesn’t check a travel website or app every day but only when planning a trip. How to get the users visit the product quiet often? ClearTrip thinks it’s by going local and offering experiences to explore. With six million monthly visitors every month, the new experiential service makes better sense for both the company and the users.
The service offers four categories — activities, eat-out, events and fitness and also some unique deals which are likely to attract, the core users of the ClearTrip – the travelers. Say, you are a fitness freak and can’t afford to miss your schedule. You can pick fitness cards and use it across one of the many gyms they have tied up spanning many cities. So even if you are traveling you can continue your fitness regime. Even within city, you can explore various gyms by picking this cards.
The updated new ClearTrip app now has the Local ‘curated’ deal as the main home screen but there is a toggle to shift between travel and local. The home page shows featured content, editors pick and followed by the categories. Each categories are neatly laid out in attractive tiles making scrolling through the contents a pleasure. At the android app, the bottom hosts tabs for activities, eat out, events, fitness and profile.
I am foodie and I like exploring restaurants and dishes. Eat out is an interesting session that lays out various cherry picked dining experience. Unlike most other food apps, ClearTrip doesn’t focus on restaurant recommendations or offer the flat menu but a dining connoisseur can explore various eat out options available as a package.
Event tab again gives a quick glance at the activities around the city under various interests.
While am writing this the local content covers 25 Indian cities and towns and also lists Abu dhabi. ClearTrip local is a neat way to explore the city and offers a bouquet of experiences spread out seemly.]]>
