At Computex 2013 trades show at it’s home country Taiwan, Asus chairman Jonney Shih unveiled a series of products at its ‘We Trasnform’ press event that include the ASUS Transformer Book Trio, the New Transformer Pad Infinity, the Fonepad Note 6, the MeMO Pad HD 7, the VivoPC, and VivoMouse.
From a world’s first three-in-one mobile device that has both Android and Windows 8 OS to a refreshed New Transformer Pad Infinity and new additions to Memo Pad family, a 6-inch FonePad Note with a stylus, a quirky looking mouse and few more things, Asus kept pulling out one after another products for the season ahead.
ASUS Transformer Book Trio, Asus claims to be “world’s first three-in-one notebook, tablet, and desktop PC.” It runs on both Windows 8 and Android and has a hot key for instant switch between them thus offering a dedicated desktop “for work,” and basic tablet functionality “for play.”
The 11.6-inch hybrid laptop-tablet features a 1920 x 1080 full HD and the dual OS packs a dual Intel processors. The tablet can be mounted on a PC Station dock which nests a 4th generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor, keyboard and 750GB hard drive while on tablet mode, it is powered by a 2.0GHz Atom processor.
ASUS Fonepad Note FHD 6 A Samsung Galaxy Note rival? With a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 dual-core processor and 1920 x 1080 Full HD Super IPS+display and packed with a 6 inch display and add to it a stylus, FonePad Note has taken a few notes out of the Samsung.
Asus MeMo Pad FHD 10 and MeMo Pad HD 7 Asus announced two new additions to the MeMo Pad family, a 10-inch MeMo Pad FHD 10 and a 7-inch MeMo Pad HD 7.
The 10-inch MeMo Pad FHD 10 has a 1,920 x 1,200 display and features a dual-core, 1.6GHz Intel processor, 2 GB RAM and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Available in both 16GB and 32GB variants and in either dark blue and white, the tablet also has a dual speakers, a rear-facing 5-megapixel camera and a front-facing 1.2-megapixel shooter.
The 7-inch MeMo Pad has a 1,280 x 800 display and features a quad-core processor. Add to it a ASUS SonicMaster audio technology, and a front 1.2-megapixel camera and optional 5-megapixel rear-facing camera. Available in dark blue, white, pink and green colors, MeMo Pad HD 7 is priced at MRP of US$129 for 8G and US$149for the 16GB model.
ASUS VivoMouse features a quirky design and is a wireless optical mouse with a multi-touch trackpad. You might mistake it to a electric shaver with a rotating head. Again, Asus claims it to be the world’s first wireless mouse-and-touchpad hybrid.
ASUS VivoPC is a compact Windows 8-based home theater PC and the 802.11ac WiFi connection allows streaming HD movies,.
The event also saw Asus rolling out a world’s first dual-band 802.11ac router, ASUS RT-AC68U,Zenbook Infinity Ultrabook, G10 desktop PC with built-in UPS and the PA279Q ProArt WQHD per-calibrated professional monitor.]]>
