The 20.7 megapixel rear camera includes a 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS CMOS image sensor. The Xperia Z1 also features Sony’s own G Lens with 27mm wide-angle and f/2.0 aperture and the camera comes with BIONZ mobile image processing engine. Also included is a 2-megapixel front facing camera.
Like the recent Xperia flagship models, Xperia Z1 is also water-proof and dust-proof and follows the company’s omni-balance design language.
Specs-wise, Sony Xperia Z1 features a 5-inch full HD (1980×1080 pixels) display with Sony’s Triluminus display technology that the company introduced first with Xperia Z Ultra. It is powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2GB of RAM and Adreno 330 graphics. Internal storage includes a 16GB which can be expanded further via microSD card. The device uses a 3000mAh battery. Z1 runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
Sony has included number of camera software features like Social Live which allows live-streaming to Facebook, Info-eye, a visual search engine that allows to capture the image on camera and search related information.
