s4_1 I know all of you are just curious and anxious as Jeremy, so let me quickly run through the specs. The Samsung Galaxy S 4 features a 5-inch full HD 1080p (1,920 x 1,080 resolution) Super AMOLED panel which offers a pixel density of 441 ppi. Oh and you can also use the phone with gloves on. It was expected the next Galaxy would bump the hardware specs and so will come with either a 1.6GHz Exynos Octa-core chip or a 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm, depending on your region and also packs in a 2GB RAM. On the OS front, it will come with Android 4.2.2 out-of-box. Cool ain’t it. The new Galaxy S would be more slimmer, lighter, stronger as well as bigger. With a dimension of 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9mm (5.38 x 2.75 x 0.31 inch) and weighs 130g. Isn’t it slimmer, lighter than last year’s S3? Impressive, considering the larger screen and a boosted up 2,600 mAh battery. The shooter is an expected 13MP BSI camera with f/2.2 aperture and autofocus on the rear and a 2 MP front camera. What would be more interesting and talking point among the public would be the dual-video capture mode, which lets you record video on both cameras all at once, same time, and Dual Video Call mode, in which you can make video calls and show the caller what you’re looking at. Additionally, Drama Shot utilizes burst mode to create animated GIFs, while Sound & Shot can record up to nine seconds of audio to accompany a still photo. As expected, Galaxy S4 features a 13MP BSI camera with f/2.2 aperture and autofocus and a 2 MP front camera. The real deal is the camera features which would be trumpeted by the Samsung marketing department. Dual-video capture mode, which lets you record video on both cameras simultaneously , Dual Video Call mode, in which you can make video calls and show the caller what you’re looking at. Drama Shot that creates animated GIFs using burst mode, Eraser mode that helps you remove unwanted backgrounds in the pictures just by tapping and why should picture be just visual? Add some sound into it using Sound & Shot mode and record up to nine seconds of audio to accompany a still photo. Samsung introduced ‘smart’ features in S3 like smart stay and now it has upped the smartness in its next galaxy. So we got Smart Scroll, Smart Pause and Air View as well as Air Gestures. Smart Scroll will allow you to scroll the screen through your eyes, while the Smart Pause tracks your eyes and the moment your focus is out of the screen it pauses the video. Air View is the feature that we saw in Galaxy Note 2 but in S4 it does away with the S-Pen but gives the same preview options through fingers. There is also Air Gestures options to simply perform certain actions through waving your palm over the screen. On the connectivity front, S4 comes with a WiFi 802.11ac support on top of the usual a/b/g/n, IR blaster, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 + LE. Samsung Galaxy S4 will have a global rollout starting end of April. ]]>
