Samsung S3 – What various reviews say

Designed for Humans and Inspired by Nature‘. Those are mighty words to describe but let’s see what world says about the new (Touch)Whiz kid in the town. As the phones gets smarter, the bigger the better seems to be the order of the day, even though at this point Apple population might still vouch for the Apple’s compactness (with no other options!) Personally, I feel Apple might seriously contemplate a re-think on its size strategy by now for its future iPhone generations. S3 sports a 4.8 inch HD Super Amoled display, 8-megapixel rear-facing and 1.9-megapixel forward-facing camera, and snacking on the latest version of Android — Ice Cream Sandwich. Weighing just 133 gm, with dimensions of 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6 mm and powered by 1.4 GHz Exynos quad processor and a 2,100 mHa battery the phone packs enormous punch in the form of software features like S-voice, Smart stay, face recognitionwith auto tagging in pictures, S-Beam, Smart alert, Direct call, All-share cast, pop up play and many more. Let’s see what the word of early reviews has to say about the latest smart Sammy out here! What guys at Engadget says:

This is a good-looking phone, with an impressive high definition Super AMOLED screen and a processor that looks likely to spar for top spot among Android devices. It’s no doubt this lack of wow-factor hardware that has led Sammy to emphasize software progress instead. Glacial hardware design progress aside, if Samsung manages to get these new features polished up and working flawlessly, the company might well have another bestseller.  – Engadget
What CNET has to say:
The Samsung Galaxy S3 brings a gorgeous 4.8-inch 720p display, quad-core processor and 8-megapixel camera, all crammed into a good-looking, impossibly slim and light casing. At this point we have few concerns, and this smart phone looks set to reproduce the Galaxy S2’s success. – CNET
Hands-on wrap up by Tech Radar
The Samsung Galaxy S3 has got all the hallmarks of the best Android phone yet – exactly what Samsung wanted to achieve. Following up the S2, was always going to be a difficult task, but with the S3 we’ve definitely got a phone that could be worthy of that crown. – Techradar
T3 summarizes:
The Samsung Galaxy S3 certainly looks impressive… Some will see the new social, voice and notification features as being compelling reasons to buy the phone. Some will see them as an unnecessary drain on the battery and will spend their first few hours with the phone deciding which of the features to deactivate first. Either way, there’s no denying that the S3 is a powerful phone that could well be a contender for the Best Android Phone crown. – T3
Did Apple fanboy hear what Pocket lint said? *evil grin*
Samsung has created a powerhouse of a smartphone, one that can truly make claims to being a portable computer in your pocket. We’ve seen enough to know that iPhone 4S fans will be sick with envy. – Pocket Lint
The Stuff they say about S3!
On first impressions, this quad core beast still somehow manages to feel sleek and premium in the hand with tons of extras to push you away from the HTC One X and into Sammy’s hands. Based on hardware and features alone, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is the best phone in the world right now. – Stuff
And the guys at Gizmodo shoots this after getting their hands-on
Samsung’s holding on tight to their crown, won fairly and squarely by the Galaxy S II which stole hearts and took names thanks to the sheer amount of features and specs it crammed inside. The third iteration under the Galaxy S name feels a lot more polished and thought-out than other Samsung products, and zips about comfortably with its powerful engine and responsive display. – Gizmodo

Is that enough to keep Samsung in its top-spot in the cellphone market, and make the Galaxy S III another best-seller? It certainly looks that way to us. – SlashGear
Exciting words eh? Eagerly waiting for the review device to experience the human oomph factor!]]>
